Juvenile Certification Review Course
Our Annual Certification Review Course will be held on April 17th and 18th at Barry University, Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law in Orlando. More details are coming shortly.
Save the Date! PILS Next Meetings
We had great committee & EC meetings during the Bar’s Winter Meeting! Please SAVE THE DATE now for our section’s meeting during the Bar’s Annual Meeting which will be held on June 19, 2020 in Orlando. We typically have committee meetings from 8-9:30am and then the EC meetings 10-12. You are all invited to attend, but will need to RSVP when the time comes. Hint: Breakfast is provided!

Advocacy, Engagement, Networking, Professional Development and Recruitment.
Newsflash: We now have a Chair for the Homelessness Committee so please reach out to me if you’d like to join that committee. I’m still working on a Chair for the Disability Rights Committee and will let everyone interested in joining that’s reached out when we do. I will also let our entire section know when in a subsequent newsletter.

Our latest webinars, including the Pride and Prejudice and Zombies & the Fair Credit Reporting Act Webinar, are available for you to watch and get CLE credit by visiting our website.
Website & Social Media
We’ve recently turned over to The Florida Bar Communications department our questionnaire to help guide the website overhaul which they’re undertaking on behalf of PILS. We are the first section taking advantage of this benefit and are incredibly excited to share our tips and lessons learned from this process.

Board of Governors Meeting
We presented at the December BOG meeting in Orlando, and received lots of great feedback on our presentation. If you’re interested in seeing the one-pager I created and provided to the BOG, please email me and I’ll send it right back. In fact, we will make sure to post it on our website when we re-launch an updated one.
